Half-a-Day Silent Meditation

Each month we will use CTBCC's sacred space for half a day of silent meditation to deepen one’s practice and reflect within for a day. The half-a-Day experience is personal and intimate yet provides the support of a group setting. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you are welcome to attend the half day or any sitting session.

The retreat will run from 12:00 to 4:00 pm and is divided into four 45-minute meditation sessions. There is a 15-minute break between each sitting for walking meditation and rest. A Sangha member will facilitate the retreat. (Please note the meditation sessions are not guided). Noble silence begins at 12:00 am and is observed throughout the afternoon. Tea will be provided. You may leave for lunch or bring your own.

12:00-4:45 - Welcome and 45 min sitting Meditation (X4)
3:45-4:00 - Metta, Dedication and Close.

Please contact us at: contact@ctbcc.org if you have questions on this new event.

White Tara Practice

White Tara mantra, when recited without distraction, enhances our health, strengthens our life force, and protects our mind. Visualize Tara’s blessings enter our body as purifying white light, purging negativities and illnesses as black smoke.  According to the FPMT, “this meditation can be done on behalf of oneself or others. It is frequently done to remove the obstacles to our gurus’ long lives and health. If one has experienced many health problems, accidents, depression, or a loss of 'lust for life', the practice of White Tara can be especially powerful.”

On Sundays, we have a meditation session at 11 am and a Dharma class on Shantideva's Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life at 12 noon. Hope you can join us for both events. We are serving pizzas at 1:30 pm.

After the practice around 3:30pm, you are welcome to stay for Dharma conversations over tea and desserts.

For the benefit of all beings!

Bodhicitta and the Path of Liberation

Two days of intimate, profound teachings and practice to quicken the good heart of the bodhisattva—our good heart. Our desire and commitment to free ourselves and all beings from confusion and suffering is Bodhicitta, the highest aspiration, the deepest compassion, and the greatest love. On the path to liberation, Bodhicitta—wellspring of spiritual certainty and courage—is both our tenderness and our power.
