Our classes, practices and events are open to the public, Buddhists and non-Buddhists
Otero County Prison Facility in Chaparral, New Mexico
We have been providing weekly religious services to inmates at the Otero Facility since February 2015. Despite challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, we have remained committed to offering these invaluable programs. Our classes, currently held every Friday evening, serve between 6 and 12 inmates. We are honored to have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of these individuals and to provide them with a sense of community and hope.
Federal Correctional Institution, La Tuna in Anthony, Texas
We are pleased to announce the resumption of our weekly classes at the FCI La Tuna on July 13, 2023. These classes offer inmates a much-needed respite from the stresses of incarceration through meditation and Dharma discussions. Our dedicated volunteers are committed to creating a supportive and welcoming environment where inmates can explore their spirituality and cultivate inner peace. With an average attendance of 5-7 inmates per week, our program makes a tangible difference in the lives of those incarcerated at this facility.
